Alternative

An Opus Clip alternative for Indian creators

Opus Clip is built to find short clips inside one long video, like a podcast or a webinar. Instant Studio is built for the other job most Indian brands have: thirty raw phone clips, a reel you liked, and a deadline. It edits those clips into the finished video, in Hindi, Hinglish or English, in your brand's style.

Short answer

Opus Clip is a clipper: it pulls short clips out of one long video. Its help centre says it doesn't support Hindi (as of 25 October 2026). Instant Studio is a full editing system: it turns your raw clips and a reference reel into a finished video, with Hindi and Hinglish captions, for ₹2,999 a month plus your own Claude plan. No credits.

Clipping vs editing

Opus Clip solved a real problem. If you record a one-hour podcast every week, finding the ten best moments by hand takes hours, and Opus Clip does it automatically. Credit where it's due.

Most Indian businesses don't have that problem. A real estate agent has twelve walkthrough clips from one property. A doctor recorded the same tip four times because of a phone call. A jewellery brand has forty unboxing shots and a music track. Nothing needs clipping. Everything needs editing: pick the takes, cut the pauses, put the story in order, caption it, brand it.

That's the job Instant Studio does.

Why Hindi support decides it for many Indian brands

A large share of Indian short video is spoken in Hindi or Hinglish. If the tool can't transcribe it, it can't find the hook, cut the pauses or caption the words.

Instant Studio transcribes Hindi and 90+ other languages. For Hinglish, captions come out in Roman script, "Yeh offer sirf aaj tak hai", the way your audience types in comments, not in Devanagari that half your viewers read slowly. Keywords can be highlighted in your brand colour.

How Instant Studio edits a podcast clip

If you do run a podcast, Instant Studio still helps, just differently:

  1. Drop in the episode files, one per camera if you shot two angles.
  2. Tell it the moment. "Clip the part where she explains EMI vs SIP, 50 seconds, hook first." It reads the transcript and finds it.
  3. It builds the clip: two-camera split, a hook bar, captions in your style, your logo.
  4. Give notes, like "start one sentence later" or "bigger captions", and it re-renders in minutes, vertical and horizontal.

You choose the moment; it does the editing. If you want an AI to score fifty possible viral moments from every episode, Opus Clip is better at that.

When Opus Clip is the better pick

  • You publish long English videos and want many clips found for you automatically, every week.
  • You don't have a Windows PC or Mac. Instant Studio doesn't run on phones or in a browser.
  • You want a web app you can open from any computer, with nothing to install.
  • You don't want to pay for a Claude plan. Instant Studio runs on your own Claude.

The honest cost of Instant Studio

  • ₹2,999 a month, billed automatically through Razorpay. Cancel anytime; updates included while you're subscribed. No credits, no watermark, no per-reel fees.
  • A paid Claude plan with Claude Code, billed by Anthropic. Pro is enough to start. A heavy editing day can hit your plan's usage limits; a higher plan gives more room.
  • A Windows 10/11 PC or a Mac with 8 GB RAM or more (16 GB renders faster) and about 5 GB free.
  • Your own footage. It edits what you shoot. It doesn't generate stock or AI footage.

Can Instant Studio make clips from a long podcast like Opus Clip?

Yes, it edits podcast clips, including a two-camera split and a hook bar. You tell it which part to clip or what the clip is about, and it cuts, captions and styles it. It is not built to auto-score dozens of viral moments from an hour of video the way Opus Clip is.
